The Sporting Clay Classic is a great opportunity for friends and supporters of the History Center and Fort Pitt Museum to come together for an exciting event steeped in tradition and nature, all while supporting the education programs and services of the Fort Pitt Museum.
Set in the heart of the Laurel Highlands Mountains, the Nemacolin Shooting Academy is home to one of the nation’s top sporting clay facilities. Participants in groups of four will experience a course that can be customized to fit every shooter. From novice to expert, you’ll visit 15 stations, all of which have guides positioned to give tips as needed. Plus – we’ve added our own historical touch! Historians with 18th century flintlock fowling pieces will demonstrate how it was done 250 year ago.
The competition will start with breakfast and end with lunch (both complimentary) and prizes for the top scoring (and most honest) shooters.
Those interested in participating in this year’s Sporting Clay Classic can contact Angela G. Ford at firstname.lastname@example.org or 412-454-6405 for further details.
