3rd Floor
The Weisbrod Kitchen Classroom is a beautifully appointed full kitchen complete with the appliances, technology, and equipment to present and record a state of the art cooking class or demonstration.
Wired for sound, the chef will be able to talk through the demonstration and the guests will have a stove top view of the action on the flat screen TV hanging above the stove.
A jazz brunch with omelet service, wedding and baby showers, birthday parties and team-building events are some of the programs currently being developed for this imaginative space that comfortably seats 50- 60.
On Sept. 28, 2011, the History Center celebrated the newly named Weisbrod Kitchen Classroom in honor of Robert & Mary Weisbrod. The Weisbrod Foundation kindly provided one of the very first grants to support the planning and creation of the History Center in 1989 and continue the Weisbrod’s legacy of quiet generosity and dedication to quality foods, health, and the education of young people. It was in their honor that the room was dedicated to inspire new generations of Pittsburghers.
