The Great Depression and the Second World War
In this program, students will learn about Jewish history and the stories of Jewish communities here in Western Pennsylvania through self-guided gallery activities and a classroom-based session. Gallery activities explore the local stories of Jewish people and organizations that supported each other and the communities around them, and the classroom session focuses on one family’s experience of fleeing the Holocaust and settling in Western Pennsylvania.
