Zoom to the Moon!

Destination Moon

Visit the Destination Moon exhibit and zoom to the moon at the History Center!

Using interactive storytelling and hands-on activities, students will learn the basics of how the first moon landing happened, practice their astronaut skills by gathering “moon rocks,” and make models of footprints on the moon in a lesson that teaches about the lunar surface. Students will also think about what they would take on their trip to the moon while learning about the Apollo 11 astronauts and how they traveled to the moon and back.
