The Heinz History Center’s History Makers Award Dinner is a marquee event in Pittsburgh.
Now in its 29th year, the History Makers Award Dinner, presented by BNY Mellon and Citizens, honors people whose accomplishments, while rooted here in Western Pennsylvania, transcend geographic boundaries. Our honorees profoundly contribute to the innovative history and collective heritage of our region, and represent a commitment to excellence that has defined our community.
This year’s History Makers Award Dinner is set for Friday, June 3 at The Westin Pittsburgh.
We are thrilled to share this year’s honorees:

Funding raised from this event is more vital than ever, helping us preserve our regional history for future generations, and to provide a space where experiences and learning moments for all ages help make memories that last a lifetime. The History Center tells the stories of Western Pennsylvanians whose hard work, innovation, enterprise, creativity, and courage improved the world and still serves to guide and inspire us today. Like our History Makers, we are encouraged (but not surprised) by stories of Pittsburgh’s can-do spirit and kindness. After all—we are home to “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”
Join us as we celebrate this year’s honorees and support the History Center’s vital work through various sponsorship opportunities, found here.
