Do you dig archaeology? Ever wonder how archaeologists learn about the lives of prehistoric people? Do you have an artifact you want professionally identified?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you won’t want to miss Archaeology Day at Meadowcroft – home of the Meadowcroft Rockshelter, a National Historic Landmark recognized as the oldest site of human habitation in North America.
Held in partnership with the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology as part of Pennsylvania Archaeology Month, Archaeology Day will feature in-depth presentations from experts across the state, fascinating demonstrations, and opportunities for attendees to have their own American Indian artifacts professional identified and analyzed.
