Join the Heinz History Center for “Rachel Carson: Rise of the Environmental Movement” a free webinar for teachers and students on Thursday, March 31st. This virtual program will explore the story of Rachael Carson, scientist, ecologist, and writer whose work sparked the modern environmental movement. Learn more about how Rachel Carson observed the natural environment and the impact of humans on it resulting in increased environmental awareness throughout the nation.
There are two webinars with Q&A sessions scheduled for this free, virtual program. One for grades 3–6 at 10 a.m. and one for grades 7–12 at 1 p.m. on March 31st.
