Birthday Parties

Make your child’s birthday historic this year! 

Birthday package includes admission to the History Center, the use of the Multipurpose Room for 2 hours, pretzels, juice boxes, and water. Boxed lunches can be purchased for an additional cost through the café at the History Center. Visitors can bring their own birthday cake.

Time Frame: 2-hour block, starting between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Base Package Price: $250 | $200 for History Center members

The base package price includes up to 20 children and 10 adults. Additional adults can be added for $12.50 per person. There is maximum of 20 children per party.

Facilitated activities can be added to the Base Birthday Package for $8 per child.

Choose one of the following activities:

  • Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: Play, laugh, watch, and enjoy creating your own puppet show in this session that explores the world of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” including a visit to the stage set for his pioneering television show now on display at the History Center. (any age)
  • Innovation Station: Pittsburgh is home to many important innovations that make our world a better place. Explore some of these great innovations and spend time tinkering, building, and experimenting. (ages 4 – 12)
  • Pittsburgh’s Pastimes: Join in the sports, games, and fun that Pittsburghers have enjoyed in the past! Try out toys, play games, and create a souvenir to take home. (any age)
  • History Detectives: Pick up a magnifying glass and come with us as we play games, solve puzzles, and explore the History Center. (ages 5 – 10)
