Transcript: Vietnam War – Curator Talk with Sam Black

Samuel W Black, director of African American Program at the History Center:

The Vietnam War: 1945-1975 chronicles, really, the entire span of the war, which some people could call a war for independence, slash, a war against Communism. So it can be very complicated, but we looked at the years 1945 to 1975 because we really wanted people to focus on the Vietnam aspect of this war, not just the American involvement in the war.
