Join the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum and the Pittsburgh Steelers to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception as part of a special evening program.

The program will include a lively panel discussion featuring Franco Harris, his 1972 Steelers teammates, members of the 1972 Oakland Raiders, and other guests as they reflect on his Hall of Fame career and share stories about the greatest play in NFL history.

Panelists include:

  • Franco Harris, Hall of Fame running back, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Joe Greene, Hall of Fame defensive lineman, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • John “Frenchy” Fuqua, running back, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Phil Villapiano, linebacker, Oakland Raiders
  • Other special guests and surprises!

Moderated by KDKA-TV Sports Anchor Bob Pompeani, the panel discussion will examine how the Immaculate Reception changed the fortunes of a franchise and a city, and how its legacy continues to grow five decades later.

Prior to the event, visit the Sports Museum’s Super Steelers exhibition to see the Immaculate Reception football, cleats, and other artifacts examining the life and career of Harris. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Each guest will receive a Black & Gold Smiley Cookie, thanks to Eat’n Park. Water will be provided by ABARTA Coca Cola Beverages, Inc.
