Join the History Center for the annual National History Day Pittsburgh Kickoff!

Students and teachers will get a head start on this year’s competition as they explore the 2027 theme, “Innovation in History: Impact, Influence, Change,” discover resources for conducting primary source research, and hear from a veteran judge about what makes a strong entry.

Coffee and pastries will be served from 9:30–10 a.m., followed by the program from 10–11:30 a.m.

Afterward, students are invited to explore Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation on a self-guided tour and start discovering ideas for their own projects.
