Our Spaces
Rental spaces can accommodate a variety of event sizes and styles and include options throughout the site — from the modern amenities of the Robert Barensfeld Center to open-air gathering spaces and opportunities to incorporate Meadowcroft’s historic villages and iconic Rockshelter into your event experience.
For all events, a large public parking lot is conveniently located in front of the Barensfeld Visitor Center.
Full Facility
Enjoy exclusive use of the entire Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village site, including access to Robert Barensfeld Center event spaces and guest admission to Meadowcroft’s villages and exhibit areas during the first two hours of your event.
Available after 4 p.m. during operating season, Full facility rentals start at $4,000 for up to six hours, with additional hours available for $600 each.
Robert Barensfeld Center
The Robert Barensfeld Center offers multiple indoor and outdoor rental options within Meadowcroft’s scenic 200+ acre campus. Event spaces include the Great Room with an attached patio and wood-burning fireplace, the timber-frame Cindrich Pavilion, and the Orientation Room for smaller gatherings — all with convenient access to Meadowcroft’s historic villages and world-renowned archaeological site.
Great Room
The Great Room is a spacious event venue featuring a wood-burning fireplace and attached patio. It is ideal for receptions, dinners, meetings, and celebrations and includes patio access unless the pavilion is reserved separately. Rental rates start at $1,800 for up to six hours, with additional hours available for $300 each.
Cindrich Pavilion
The Cindrich Pavilion is an open-air timber-frame venue featuring a dramatic stone fireplace and scenic surroundings. Existing picnic tables may be removed for an additional fee to allow for additional event flexibility. Rental rates start at $1,200 for up to six hours, with additional hours available for $200 each.
Great Room & Cindrich Pavilion
Combine indoor and outdoor spaces for a flexible event layout with expanded guest capacity. This rental includes access to the Great Room, attached patio, and adjacent pavilion with a wood-burning fireplace. Rental rates start at $3,000 for up to six hours, with additional hours available for $500 each.
Orientation Room with Back Patio
The Orientation Room offers a more intimate setting with access to a private back patio. It is ideal for gatherings of up to 30 guests, breakout sessions, private meetings, or as an event preparation space. Rental rates start at $800 for up to six hours, with additional hours available for $200 each.
Daytime Pavilion Picnic Package
Looking for an outdoor celebration space? Our pavilion picnic package is ideal to rent for graduations, birthday parties, bridal showers, family reunions, and casual gatherings.
Starting at $300, enjoy a 3-hour reservation with exclusive use of the Cindrich Pavilion and choose between two available reservation windows: 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 1–4 p.m.
