Museum docents will lead a special guided tour highlighting some of history’s most iconic people and places from Western Pa.

Learn about fascinating stories of Pittsburgh history and enhance your museum experience on an “Objects That Define Pittsburgh” tour at the History Center on Oct. 15.

  • Walk through Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation and explore the stories of how Western Pennsylvania innovators and their groundbreaking achievements have impacted our society.
  • Visit 90 local neighborhoods in Special Collections and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood to see the original set from the hit children’s show.
  • Stop by the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum and learn about the legendary Steeler Franco Harris and his “Immaculate Reception,” the most iconic play in NFL history.

Visitors must sign up for Guided Tours at the admissions desk prior to each tour. The tours are included with regular museum admission and will be capped at 25 attendees.
