Meadowcroft’s Homeschool Open House
Calling all homeschool families – experience history like never before!
Homeschool families are invited to step into the past with hands-on history at Meadowcroft! Explore historic homes, visit a working blacksmith’s shop, dip candles, and experience a one-room schoolhouse in our 19th-century village.
Then, travel even further back in time to our recreated 16th-century Monongahela Indian Village, where you can learn about prehistoric life and test your skills with a traditional atlatl. Don’t miss a guided tour of the Rockshelter, the oldest site of human habitation in North America!
Meadowcroft is an outdoor site, so be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Pack a lunch to enjoy at our picnic areas! Advance registration is encouraged.
Admission
The Homeschool Open House is $7 for History Center members and $10 for non-members. Children under five years old are free.
