Step into the story of Pittsburgh’s 18th-century fur trade!

Join the Fort Pitt Museum on Saturday, Sept. 13 as history enthusiast and reenactor Duane Schrecengost discusses the pivotal role of the fur trade on the 18th-century frontier.

After Duane’s talk, step inside the museum’s interactive first-floor gallery to see the story come to life in the Trader’s Cabin. Peer into a replica Casemate where munitions were made, check out the replica cannon, and explore the Soldiers’ Barracks to learn how the troops garrisoned and protected Pittsburgh.

The Speaker Saturday program will take place in the Fort Pitt Auditorium on the museum’s first floor and is included with regular admission.
