Speaker Saturday: Pittsburgh's Revolution
Join Fort Pitt Museum for an afternoon with Mike Burke.
Discover more about Pittsburgh’s Revolution during a special talk with Mike Burke, assistant director of the Fort Pitt Museum.
Expanding on the themes presented in the exhibition, Burke will take visitors beyond the gallery walls to explore the frontier that made Fort Pitt the epicenter of the Revolutionary War in the West.
At the Forks of the Ohio, Fort Pitt stood at a crossroads of cultures, diplomacy, and conflict, where American leaders negotiated with Native nations, defended the Ohio Country, and fought a war that would shape the region’s future.
Through the stories of figures like George Washington, Guyasuta, and White Eyes, guests will gain a deeper understanding of the people, decisions, and consequences that shaped the Revolution in Western Pa.
