Celebrate Veterans Day at the Heinz History Center!

Participate in a moving Veterans Day ceremony featuring the unfurling and folding of a giant 36-foot American flag in the Great Hall. Reflect upon the civic democracy and history that the flag represents while honoring the service of our veterans.

The flag folding ceremony is part of the History Center’s America 101 civics initiative, which empowers citizens to act on the promise of the country’s founders, enabling people today to write the next chapter of our democracy. The civics initiative engages and inspires visitors to learn more about history through U.S. citizenship ceremonies, public programs, special exhibitions, digital learning tools, and more.

America 101 is sponsored by the Nimick Forbesway Foundation.

Admission

All veterans receive free admission to the History Center on Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11.

The flag folding ceremony is free for all visitors, but regular admission applies to access exhibitions.
