Bring your friends for conversation, happy hour drinks, and free pizza after regular museum hours!

Join the Heinz History Center and more than 200 iconic museums across America to kick off the Fourth Annual Civic Season.

Enjoy free pizza provided by Pizza to the Polls and discover how you can get involved while networking with the region’s leading civics organizations, registering to vote, and hanging out with Pittsburghers who are making a difference in our community!

Slice of History includes special after-hours access to the History Center’s new exhibition, A Woman’s Place: How Women Shaped Pittsburgh, which tells the stories of barrier-breaking Western Pa. women who helped change the world. Explore rare artifacts like protest posters, buttons, and objects that tell the story of women’s suffrage and how Pittsburghers took civic action to impact the nation’s laws.

This program is part of Civic Season, presented in partnership with Smithsonian and the History Made By Us national coalition, and the History Center initiative, America 101.

Partnering organizations for the Slice of History event include PUMP, the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, Unify America, Remake Learning, and more.
